A little taste of South Africa

We heard that there was a fast food chain restaurant from South Africa in downtown DC! So we decided to go check it out with our best buds Mike and Courtney. Nando's is a worldwide chain, but was started in South Africa. It is an African-Portugese grilled chicken joint. They use a chile (peri-peri) found in Africa in their marinade and you can get it in several different "heats." Lee and Mike had HOT, which is the 2nd hottest and it was definitely a sinus cleaner. But for a fast food place, the inside is really nice and cool. It wasnt the best food I have ever had in my life, but it was a fun experience and at least now I know that there will be one place in South Africa I will like to eat!
